Safety
Park Derochie is dedicated to providing a safe and healthy work environment. To this end, we employ full-time safety officers. Our WCB rate is 82% lower than the industry standard, which highlights our exemplary safety history, and dedication to keeping our employees safe and healthy.
Our corporate safety officer currently sits as chair of the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) Edmonton Regional Safety Committee.
We pride ourselves on training our employees to maintain a safe worksite. As part of this commitment, we invest in daily job-site training sessions and provide reimbursement for supervisors to attend external training programs. As part of our program, Park Derochie has also established a system of safety incentives and bonuses to reward safe work.
Park Derochie has commissioned a health and safety committee consisting of equal representation from administrative and field employees. The committee holds monthly meetings to monitor and oversee our safety programs.
